Better late than never...

I just got hold of the camp photos but have yet to seive through them.

Janne and Chin Fen have yet to pass me the Settlers' pics.

Still chasing Vani for Benny's and Janne's bdae celebration at Fish & Co last Monday.

I wanna blog about Ra's bdae celebration last Saturday.

Since she's one of my very best friends, i think she deserves some mention.

Hahahaha.

So Liz, Kay and Daryl came up with the idea of surprising our dear Ra with a surprise bdae party.

Liz had a hard time trying to converse with Ra'a mum cos she sux at Malay.

Hahaha.

But anyway I met up wit Wens at around 3 and Kitty arrived in a cab a few seconds after us.

He ran hurriedly out of the cab and made a beeline for us.

I knew that we haven met in a long time but i didnt realise he would miss us that much.

NOT.

He actually lacked cash so he begged Wens for some money.

Hahhaha.

Well, anything for a pet cat.

Kekekeke.

The theme for the party was everything and anything pink.

But i didnt wanna wear pink so i brought along my pink Clueless-inspired pen.

Being the "creative" person that i am, i stuck the pen in my hair and it doubled up as a hair accessorie.

Voila!

When we came, the table was already filled with glorious food.

So i helped out with the decor.

Im so good at this.

Hahaha.

We made such a racket doing up the decorations.

Ra's family took her out shopping and they were supposed to be back by 4.

After a false alarm which saw Daryl scrambling to hide hahaha,

and the chocolate treat given to us by Ra's nice maid plus the short sms msgs volley between Kak Fatha and Liz, relating every single movement of the As'art family ("at the carpark", "at the void deck", "going into the lift"...), we finally scurried to our hiding places, ready to spring our surprise!

Daryl (botak hahaha), Kay in pink (his poor gf..when you noe what Daryl is capable of, you will realise why i pity Kay hahaha), Kitty @ Faizal - pet cat to Ra and Wens, Nat and Wens standing pretty on the staircase.

Our masterpiece....so pretty rite. U can definitely guess Ra's favourite colour.

Hahaha.

Food, food, glorious food!

The bdae girl. Of all days, she chose NOT to wear pink on her bdae! For that infamous touch of pink, we made her wear Daryl's pink garland hahaha.

Finally got to see Michiko@ Najiha (Ra's niece)...sooo cute. I swear to God she is Japanese!

Afiq (my don juan) was tempremental as usual hahaha.

Something really funny happened.

Afiq told me that he wanted to play spaceship and he wanted to to go upstairs.

He even asked me if i wanted to join him.

Hahaha.

Of cos i declined and continued to wolf down delectable spread.

We were laughing and joking and obviously making quite a racket.

So much so that Afiq stomped down the stairs and at the top of his lungs, said...

"Excuse me, i'm trying to play spaceships upstairs, can you please be quiet?!"

And he stomped back up into one of the rooms upstairs.

(He has got this accent and he is only 3/4 years old!)

We were all stumped and at loss for words.

Daryl managed a "Oh, we are...sorry, Afiq"

Hahahahaha.

We all had similar thoughts.

"What the hell was that about!"

Hahaha.

He can be so bratty.

But he's sooo adorable.

I remembered thinking aloud to Wens while we were busy trying to put up the balloons.

"U mean, she is this important?!"

Hahahahaha.

We still owe each other our bdae gifts. You see, we have this tradition since uni that we'll let the bdae girl choose whatever she wants.

We figured that it would be best cos that way, we cant complain about our gifts.

Hahaha.

Of cos it eliminates the element of surprise.

But it beats muttering curses 'neath your breath while trying to fake contentment.

Wens will turn 25 this cuming Wed.

But we'll be meeting on Saturday.

Guess we will get each other's prezzies then.

Hahaha.

Better late than never.
